Canada-Israel, a friendship

Dear friends,

The Conservative Party of Canada sente me this message:

"Friend,

I landed in Tel Aviv on Sunday for a four-day visit to Israel. Since then, I have received a warm welcome from our hosts – and I believe the PM’s visit here six months ago has something to do with it.

The Prime Minister travelled here in January and gave a powerful address to Israel’s parliament, the Knesset.

It was a rare and moving occasion, and I can tell you that the goodwill and appreciation from the PM’s powerful words in support of Israel still resonate today. Yuli Edelstein, the Speaker of the Knesset, even gave the PM a “Key to the Knesset” during his visit.

It’s no secret that Israel now views Canada as a strong ally and reliable friend to their country. Our commitment to peace, stability, and democracy in the region has not gone unnoticed.
