Dear friends,
today we celebrate St. Albert.
So, I wish you a good name day for all those who are called Alberto and especially to father Alberto Bertozzi, parrish of Roncoferraro, and father Alberto Ferrari, a former parrish of Roncoferraro and now parrish of Moglia.
St. Albert the Great (1206-1280) was a German Dominican friar, but he was also a scholar and man of science.
In 1260, he became bishop of Regensburg.
St. Albert the Great wrote works of science, such as those entitled "Physicorum" and "Meteororum" of biology, such as those named "De vegetalibus plantis" and "De animalibus", and psychology, as the work entitled "De Anima".
He was also an alchemist , champion of a set of doctrines that someone believed (and still believes) Satanic (due to the presence of esoteric doctrines, such as the Jewish Kabbalah), but which in reality was nothing more than a pseudo-science, pseudo-science that was the basis of our modern chemistry.
Now, the figure of St. Albert should make us think.
God and science are not opposed to each other.
After all, think about it, how can the case to ensure that (for example) has atomic number 19 (19 protons and 19 electrons), the formula of potassium perchlorate KClO 4 or humans have 32 teeth?
The case can not decide what.
Even the theory of evolution by Charles Darwin (that secularists use against religion) actually hides a greater plan.
So, between God and science there is not oppostion.
Best regards.
