There is no doubt
that some people have luck and actually a lot of luck! For example, this
retired New Yorker who wanted to invest his retirement money in a smart way, so
he decided to buy a house with a few acres in Portugal in order to
spend his last days there…
A great
opportunity came out, and he ended up buying this land of several acres which
had a huge warehouse in the middle, as it is shown in the previous picture.
This land has been empty for 15 years; because the
owner and his wife had died without leaving heirs. In fact, the land was sold
only to pay taxes. This warehouse had a pair of towering iron gates welded so
it was not easy to know what was inside of it without wrecking them.
Here you can see the enormous iron gates:
In fact, no one ever worried too much about this
warehouse, because people thought that inside of it what they could only find
was just a bunch of trash piled, due to the many years the warehouse has been
locked.
As a conclusion, sources say the retired New Yorker
bought the land with this mysterious warehouse half its value.
As soon as he bought the land, he went to the barn,
hired the service of a construction company and made them pull the gates down and
then...
A multi-million dollar car collection was inside the
warehouse!!!!
Among the cars, there were: Fiat Cabriolet (1200 or
1500), Ford Cortina MKII, Mercedes Benz 180/19, Astin Martin, Opel GT, Lotus
Elan FHC, Lotus Super Seven Series IV, Lotus Elan DHC, Porsche 356, Austin
Healy Sprite MKII, Volvo PV 544, Ford Y, Giulietta Sprint, Giulia Sprint Speciale
(SS), Nash Metropolitan, Alfa Giulietta, Lotus Europa, another Lotus Elan FHC,
Matra Djet, Lancia Flaminia Coupé, Abarth 1300 Scorpione, Lancia Flaminia
Coupé, Peugeot 504 and 404 Cabriolet, Mini, Alfa 1900 Super Sprint, Balilla,
Fiat Topolino II Triumph TR4, Peugeot 202, BMW V8, Formula Racers, Chryslers,
Mercedes, Austin A30 and Alfa Romeo.
The most interesting thing is that many of these cars
with only minor repairs (basically new batteries) managed function in a normal
way; for delight of the children and grandchildren of this lucky retired
American who suddenly came across with this billionaire gift.
Stephanie, sei un genio!
