The Italian technology that will save Las Vegas

yesterday, in the program of Roberto Giacobbo " Voyager ", there was talk of an Italian technology that will save Las Vegas.

The State of Nevada known city gets its water from Lake Mead, an artificial lake created by the damming of the Colorado River.
Now, because of a drought, the river in question continues to have loss of capacity.

The risk is that Las Vegas has no more water, since the respective sockets (known as "straws") are placed too high.
Thus, the measures were taken.
The Southern Nevada Water Authority has decided to implement a project that involves the construction of a tunnel under the lake bottom, so as to get water from there.
The tunnel is 100 meters deep.
To make the tunnel will be an Italian company, the "Salini Impregilo".
The "Salini Impregilo" is the same company that makes the tunnels of our highways.
An example is the "Cavallo's tunnel" (in italian, galleria "del Cavallo"), a tunnel of highway A14 Bologna-Taranto.
