Twenty years ago today, John Howard was elected Prime Minister and his government began the job of building a stronger, more prosperous Australia.

The Howard Government led Australia through one of the most successful periods in our history. John Howard and Peter Costello turned around Labor’s mismanagement and helped make Australia’s economy the envy of the world.

Now we are just months away from another historic election. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has the team and the plan to successfully transition our economy to meet the challenges of the future.

The Coalition Government has already put in place a number of measures to repair Labor’s mess and manage the country’s budget responsibly.

We’ve reduced the tax and red-tape burden on small business, achieved record investment in innovation, technology and infrastructure and secured three historic free trade agreements.

But Labor continues to stand in the way of progress by blocking responsible economic measures, coupled with their plans for higher taxes.

That’s why I am asking for your support. In the lead up to the election, we need your help to ensure the Turnbull Government can continue to build a stronger economy with more jobs.

Twenty years ago, the former Anglican bishop of Brisbane John Howard became Prime Minister of Australia. With Howard government, Australia experienced a great season excellent economic policies. In the political landscape (and geopolitical) of the world, Australia became relevant.
