CPC, Linda Frum: "A remarkable speech"

this is the message that remembers the speech of  Prime Minister of Canada Stephen to the Israel's Parliament, the Knesset.

Precisely one year ago this day, Prime Minister Harper gave a powerful and historic address to Israel’s parliament, the Knesset.

It was a rare and moving occasion, and I can tell you that the goodwill and appreciation from the PM’s powerful words in support of Israel still resonate today. Yuli Edelstein, the Speaker of the Knesset, even gave Prime Minister Harper the first-ever “Key to the Knesset” during his visit.

A year has passed, but it’s no secret that Israel now views Canada as a strong ally and reliable friend to their country. Our commitment to peace, stability, and democracy in the region has not gone unnoticed.

The past year has shown us that this commitment has never been more important. The international jihadist movement has declared war, and Israel is on the front line as the only democracy in the Middle East.

Under the strong, dependable leadership of Prime Minister Harper, Canada’s commitment to Israel will never waver.

A year ago, Prime Minister Harper delivered his speech before the Knesset.
Below is the video.
He reiterated the support Canadian to Israel, something that others did not.
Italy, for example, changed his policy towards Israel, from a policy of friendship was that the government of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to those in favor of Palestine in recent governments.
Canada, however, is consistent.
Today, we must support Israel unconditionally.
Israel is also the guarantee for the Christians in the Middle East.

Un anno fa, il Primo Ministro Harper pronunciò il suo discorso davanti alla Knesset.
Qui sotto vi è il video.
Egli ribadì il sostegno canadese ad Israele, cosa che altri non fecero.
L'Italia, per esempio, cambiò politica nei confronti di Israele, passando da una politica di amicizia che fu del governo del presidente Silvio Berlusconi a quelle in favore della Palestina degli ultimi governi.
Il Canada, invece, è coerente.
Oggi, noi dobbiamo sostenere Israele senza condizioni.
