Questa è la foto che ho preso dalla pagina di Facebook "Dukes of Hazzard".
La nota serie TV americana compie 35 anni.
La prima puntata risale al 26 gennaio 1979 ed era intitolata "One armed bandits", nella versione italiana "Slot machines".
La foto qui sopra mostra il cast originale della serie TV.
Di sinistra, potete vedere Tom Wopat (Luke Duke), Rick Hurst (il vice sceriffo Cletus Hogg), Sonny Shroyer (il vice sceriffo Enos Strate), il quasi novantenne James Best (lo sceriffo Rosco P. Coltrane), Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke), Jonathan Schneider (Bo Duke) e Ben Jones (il meccanico Cooter Davenport).
Peccato che non ci siano più Denver Pyle (zio Jesse Duke, morto il 25 dicembre 1997) e Sorrell Booke (Jefferson Davis Hogg, detto Boss Hogg, morto l'11 febbraio 1994).
Dal cielo, Sorrell e Denver potranno vedere che i personaggi da loro interpretati non sono dimenticati.
Basti pensare all'onesto Jesse e al corrotto Boss Hogg, due "amici-nemici" che spesso si scontravano ma che in certi momenti collaboravano.
Aiutato dal goffo sceriffo Rosco, Boss cercava di fregare il prossimo e in particolare cercava di mandare in galera i cugini Bo e Luke Duke....e sistematicamente falliva.
Di Rosco che dire?
Rosco era (ed è) uno dei miei personaggi preferiti e rappresentava (e tuttora rappresenta) quello che un poliziotto non avrebbe mai dovuto essere.
L'equivalente italiano di Rosco potrebbe essere il carabiniere Pasquale del film "Pierino la peste alla riscossa". personaggio che è interpretato dall'attore genovese Ugo Frangareggi.
Qui in Italia, le barzellette sui Carabinieri vanno forte.
Rosco inseguiva sistematicamente i cugini Duke e sistematicamente falliva, sfasciando l'auto.
Con lui agivano i suoi vice, Enos e Cletus (Cletus era il vice sceriffo nella III e IV stagione) che erano costretti a fare quello che diceva Rosco.
Enos era innamorato della bellissima Daisy, la cugina di Bo e Luke.
Hazzard rappresentava ( e tuttora rappresenta) quello che era (ed è) un "mondo al rovescio" in cui gli onesti fanno la parte dei fuorilegge ed i corrotti rappresentavano la legge.
Ancora oggi, esso è visto come una satira sana, una satira che prende in giro il potere, senza offendere le persone.

shame that there are not more Denver Pyle (Uncle Jesse Duke, who died December 25, 1997) and Sorrell Booke (Jefferson Davis Hogg, Boss Hogg said, died on 11 February 1994.)
From the sky, Sorrell and Denver will be able to see that the characters played by them are not forgotten.
Suffice it to say Jesse the honest and the corrupt Boss Hogg, the two "friends-enemies" who often clashed but that at times collaborated .
Aided by clumsy Sheriff Rosco, Boss tried to cheat others and, in particular, was trying to send to jail cousins Bo and Luke Duke .... and systematically failed.
Rosco Of that mean?
Rosco was (and is) one of my characters Favorites and represented (and still represents) what a police officer would never have been.
Rosco the equivalent Italian Pasquale might be the carabiniere of the film " Peter the plague to the Rescue . " character who is played by genoese actor Ugo Frangareggi.
Here in Italy, the jokes about the Carabinieri are strong.
Rosco systematically pursued Duke cousins and systematically failed, smashing the car.
acted with him his deputy, Enos and Cletus (Cletus was deputy sheriff in season III and IV) who were forced to do what he said Rosco.
Enos was in love with the beautiful daisy, cousin of Bo and Luke.
Hazzard represented (and still represents) what was (and is) a "world backwards "in which the honest are part of the outlaws and corrupt represented the law.
Yet today, it is seen as a healthy satire, a satire that mocks the power, without offending people.
