I thank the friend and partner Stephanie Caracciolo part of the "NBC News site" which is titled " Defense Sec Mattis Briefs President Trump on Military Options in Syria ".
As you know, US attacked Syria, as a result of what happened with the chemical attack in Idlib.
The article reports the words of James Matthis, Secretary of Defense.
By now, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is no longer able to govern Syria.
If, as some say, the chemical attack in Idlib was not the work of Assad it means that today (in fact) Syria has no longer a government.
If the chemical attack was not the work of Assad it means that today Syria is a country in disarray, like a driverless train, and therefore prey to the various factions, like the Shiite, Sunni and so on.
However, if the attack was the work of Assad, it means that this is so in crisis by resorting to any means in order to stay in power.
Obviously, if the attack was the work of Assad, the latter must answer for it.
Stephanie, who is always very well informed of what is happening in the world and that I trust, says it will get worse.
On Syria, there is also the Isis threat.
We pray that it is not.
Best regards.
