Another Italian in the world that has found success: Frank Mirando

Dear friends,

today, I saw an episode of the third season of culinary talent show 'Masterchef US ", that here in Italy it is visible on"Cielo ".

The third season of 'Masterchef US', which is led by Gordon Ramsay, Graham Elliot and Joe Bastianich (who is also conductor of ?Masterchef Italy?, with the chef Bruno Barbieri and Carlo Cracco) was aired in 2012 and had been won by the cook blind Houston Christine Hà.
Unfortunately, this season of the talent show was also marked by tragedy.
The competitor who had been beaten by Christine, Josh Marks, had committed suicide the following year.
One of competitors beaten Josh was Frank Mirando, an Italian-American contestant.
Now, this is a blog open to Italians (and descendants of Italians) living in the world and that one of the people who work with me, Stephanie Caracciolo, is an Italian abroad, I felt good to remind people like Frank Mirando.
Frank Mirando (pictured) was a stockbroker Holbrook (New York).
Today, Frank is active in the field of gastronomy.
I looked at his blog .
Among the recipes (including that of pastrami) Frank is focusing on Italian cuisine.
In the US, where some of my relatives live, Italian gastronomy is very present.
Of course, the Italian-American cuisine has adapted over time and very it is also adapted by other contingencies, such as the economy.
Think of spaghetti with meatballs, which is put in the bread.
Once you put the bread in the meat patties because it cost so much.
So, people had to adapt.
Think of an Italian family emigrated to New York that was to survive and integrate.
Frank has set this mission to bring Italian cuisine in the US and it is right to carry forward what.
Let's say that the kitchen of Frank goes back to its roots, with a personal touch.
We think the skate puttanesca .
It seems that Frank is of Calabrian origin.
I reside in the Province of Mantua but I am of Sicilian origin.
I would recommend Frank to make spaghetti puttanesca with swordfish, a typical fish of the Straits of Messina.
At Frank, Italy and on behalf of all of us Italians, I wish him well and also a merry Christmas.
Sincerely.
