Happy Fourth of July

Today, our American friends celebrating July 4, the day of the Declaration of Independence.

Oggi, i nostri amici americani festeggiano il 4 luglio, giorno della Dichiarazione di Indipendenza.
Tale dichiarazione fu fatta da tredici colonie britanniche in America, le quali ruppero i legami con il Regno Unito di Gran Bretagna ed Irlanda, il 4 luglio 1776.
Poiché questo blog è intitolato "The Liberty Bell of Italy", non potevo esimermi dal ricordare ciò.
Infatti, il simbolo di questo mio blog è proprio la "Liberty Bell", la Campana della Libertà, quella campana che fu fatta suonare nella città di Filadelfia per radunare i cittadini durante la lettura della Dichiarazione di Indipendenza.
Ora, faccio una dichiarazione polemica.
Chi difende tanto questa Unione Europea non ha capito nulla della storia.
Questa Unione Europea non può essere paragonata agli USA.
Infatti, gli USA si fondano su dei diritti fondamentali, come il diritto di proprietà.
L'Unione Europea, invece, mette in discussione il diritto proprietà, per via del suo background socialista.
Basti pensare alle alte tasse sulla casa in cui una persona risiede.
Addirittura, il nuovo presidente della Banca Centrale Europea, Christine Lagarde, ha parlato anche di pignoramenti delle prime case, le case in cui risiedono i proprietari.
In secondo luogo, tengo a ricordare che l'ateismo è nato in Europa e non negli USA.
Uno dei motti degli USA, che compaiono anche sul Dollaro, è "In God We Trust".
Qui in Europa, una cosa del genere non è neppure pensabile.
In nome della "laicità", Dio non può essere nominato, per non sembrare dei fanatici.
Inoltre, gli USA nacquero dall'unione di realtà che avevano in comune ideali, storia e cultura, cose che non ebbero mai gli Stati europei.
Dunque, certi paragoni non valgono nulla.
Agli amici americani auguro un felice 4 luglio.
