Dear friends and friends.
I take this opportunity now to wish Happy Hanukkah to friends who profess the Jewish faith.
This year, Hanukkah begins on December 16 and will end on the 24th of the same month, just on the eve of our Christmas.
In the end, the two religious events have much in common.
Hanukkah commemorates the consecration of a new altar in Temple of Jerusalem, after the freedom won by the Hellenic (second century BC) who wanted to wipe out Judaism.
The Holy Christmas, instead, commemorating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who freed mankind from sin.
The proximity of the two parties should make us understand that anti-Semitism is just stupid and goes against God.
Sincerely.
