Escherichia coli is usually found in our intestines but there are some pathogenic species.
Now, the species that was discovered in the United States of America is pathogenic and it was found in a woman of Pennsylvania.
This bacterium is able to resist to antibiotics.
Very probably, it was a common species of pathogenic Escherichia coli that has become resistant to antibiotics due to a massive use of the latter.
The bacterium is mutated and it became resistant .
This matter must be followed carefully.
