Alzheimer's disease, a challenge

I know the issue of Alzheimer's disease. Today is the International Day of fight against Alzheimer's disease.
That degenerative brain disease destroys a life lived.
I am familiar with the matter, and because I have known people sick from the disease (like a great aunt of my cousin) and because I see these cases every Saturday afternoon Geriatric Institute "Antonio Nuvolari" of Roncoferraro (in the Province of Mantua, here in Italy) where it says Mass, for which I work in reading the prayers of the faithful.
Losing the memory of one's life is horrible.
However, we must not despair.
Technology can do a lot.
For example, Google Maps offers a "virtual bike ride" to help remember.
It also serves scientific research, to try to even find a cure.
Certainly, euthanasia for the sick is not the solution.
