Tony Abbott, Prime Minister of Australia: "Cutting red tape"

Dear friends,

read this message that the Prime Minister of Australia has sent to us, supporters of Liberal Party of Australia:

"Dear Antonio Gabriele,

Today, I announced that next week’s Red Tape Repeal Day will remove almost 1,000 unnecessary pieces of legislation and regulation.

Since the election, this government has reduced annual red tape costs by over $2 billion – this doubles our original commitment to cut red tape by $1 billion a year.

Cutting red tape means lower costs for Australian businesses. This will make it easier for them to export and employ more people.

Cutting red tape will mean less time filling out forms and less time searching for information.

The changes announced today have been carefully considered. They are further steps in our Economic Action Strategy to build a strong, prosperous economy and a safe, secure Australia.

Households are seeing the benefits:
The Australian Tax Office’s new online tax return service, MyTax, pre-fills individuals’ returns, saving taxpayers time and money.
People who don’t want to be contacted by telemarketers, will be able to register both home and mobile phone numbers on the Do Not Call Registerwww.donotcall.gov.au
The MyGov system www.my.gov.au means that Medicare, Centrelink and Child Support customers can obtain information, make claims and access services without having to visit a service centre in person or spend time on hold on the phone.

And almost 450,000 small businesses will benefit from changes that make it easier to administer their tax.

These changes cover so many areas – from allowing marriage celebrants to accept a passport as identification, to helping medical devices like Cochlear’s bionic ear get approved sooner.

This is just the start.

You can help us identify further red tape to be cut by visiting www.cuttingredtape.gov.au

We are working to remove the burdens of red tape, make our country more competitive, and drive more jobs and higher living standards for all Australians.

We are seeing the benefits. Today, the Australian Bureau of Statistics confirmed that Australians have just experienced the largest fall in electricity prices on record.

The removal of the carbon tax has been an important step in helping families and small businesses get ahead.

I am proud of the progress we have made so far, and I pledge there is more to come.

Tony Abbott
Prime Minister".

The recipe economic Tony Abbott is simple: cut spending, to reduce taxes.
To cut expenses need less bureaucracy.
Furthermore, its policy also aims to control the cost of electricity, to encourage investment.
Abbott is doing what our premier Matteo Renzi does not.
Best regards.

Cordiali saluti.
