The Maltese hand who fused the Liberty Bell...

A friend of Malta (thanks) pointed me to an interesting article in the newspaper " Times of Malta " which speaks of the Liberty Bell, Liberty Bell, which is located in Philadelphia.Well, this bell (which gives the title to my blog) is a symbol of freedom of the United States of America.

It was rung on July 8, 1776, during the reading of the Declaration of Independence of the English colonies in America.
Now, this bell is linked to Malta.
In fact, the man who was such a fused John Pass.
I also found a document of the Foreign Office of Malta that about this character.
His real name was John Pace, but his last name was Anglicized as John Pass.
According to the document, the bell was ordered in 1751 by the Provincial of Pennsylvania and between the end of August and beginning of September of the following year it was sent to Philadelphia.
Therefore, even this small island so close to us Italians contributed to American history.
